CO₂ emission reduction tool for soils with low carbon content

Aqua-NbS developed an Excel-based CO₂ budget calculator to estimate the reduction in CO₂ emissions before and after rewetting agricultural soils with less than 6% organic carbon. This tool was added as an extension to a previous version of the CO₂ Excel model originally developed by Aarhus University for the Agency for Green Transition and Aquatic Environment (Styrelsen for Grøn Arealomlægning og Vandmiljø – SGAV). It incorporates in situ measurements of CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O emissions from six locations across Denmark, includes uncertainty ranges, and provides a combined CO₂-equivalent assessment.
